It must have cracked in utero (do hens have uteruses, uteri?) and healed over. It is completely sealed, no leakage.
Inside it looks a bit, er, old so down the drain it goes.

Great photos! It might have been okay, but why take a chance!
Strange...my daughter cracked open a duck egg last week to find another smaller but fully-formed eggshell inside!
